Building under construction

We came into the Sheraton Project midway through construction to complete an aggressive project schedule in order to make up for time lost by the previous contractor. Beyond the timetable, the Sheraton project was unique and challenging in many ways.

This was our first Starwood brand project, representing a considerable accomplishment in the hotel industry. Further, the location of the hotel was full of logistical obstacles. Canal Street is one of the busiest streets in the City, which can be difficult to park a car or delivery truck on, much less the largest mobile crane in New York at 600 tons. Throw in the need to complete a full restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop lounge, six elevators and two escalators and you have one of the most difficult projects imaginable. But, we came through on time and have since worked with the developer on a number of other projects.
