Two photos of a building during and after construction

This 250-room Hilton Garden Inn sits across the street from the Staten Island Ferry terminal, the South Ferry MTA station and a block from Battery Park and access to the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island ferries. The structure cantilevers over a neighboring structure to the North at the 10th floor which complicated the poured-in-place structural system but by doing this, we were able to increase the number of guestrooms at upper floors. Extensive demolition, SOE, de-watering and complex foundations were required due to the location in southern Manhattan. Because of the lessons of Hurricane Sandy this building also boasts a flood prevention system at ground level.
