Omnibuild Makes Crain’s Fast 50
In sports it’s a three-peat, Hollywood calls it a triple threat, but in construction when you are the only construction firm to appear on Crain’s NY Business Fast 50 list of the fastest growing companies three years in a row and place at Number 21 – well, that’s something special and worth reading about: https://www.crainsnewyork.com/awards/omnibuild-fast-50-2018
“Omnibuild got a boost in 2015, when it acquired another general contracting firm, Cava Construction. The merger could not have come at a better time. The development market had just come roaring to life after years of slow recovery from the Great Recession, and the construction industry was flooded with work.
Omnibuild is still riding that wave, building a torquing residential project designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by HFZ Capital near the High Line. But as new development cools as part of a broader slowdown in the housing market, the firm is looking to branch out to other sectors and double down on renovations.
“We want to be involved in affordable housing and commercial because we think those areas will have strength,” said Paul Foschi, a principal at the firm.”
